From visiting London to living in London I've been reading books set in the UK capital for years. Each one brings the city to life in its own way and from what I can see it has served as the setting for books across the genres and throughout time. Since there seems to be a book for everyone set in London I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite books set in one of my favourite cities. Follow an issue of the London Review of Books as it travels from the editors' floor to your front door. Read more: http://www.lrb.co.uk/ ABOUT THE LRB Since 1979, the London Review of Books has stood up for the tradition of the literary and intellectual essay in English. Each issue contains up to 15 long reviews and essays by academics, writers and journalists. There are also shorter art and film reviews, as well as poems and a lively letters page. A typical issue moves through political commentary to science or ancient history by way of literary criticism and social anthropology. So, for example, an issue can open with a piece on the rhetoric of war, move on to reassessing the reputation of Pythagoras, follow that with articles on the situation in Iraq, the 19th-century super-rich, Nab...

I had a great time in London. The city has many great bookshops and bookish locations. I met Reija, from Bofinkins, and Mimi, from OokBooks. We went on a bookshop crawl and it was an amazing day talking about books and visiting awesome places. I live in a small city in Brazil, only 500 thousand inhabitants. It is a bookshop desert, so this was a great experience, and the company was the best. BTW, I mentioned Hatchards, but I meant HARRODS!!! Harrods is the one with vintage books and Limited Editions! If you are going to London, this department store is fenomenal. - Andrew Lang Fairy Books Collection @OokBooks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYJdpYZIeKg&lc=z12zetka2w3tsfzzt04cjrryemzsgd05o0g.1499721347404600 - Bofinkins: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFOfzvqA57PQNhCPkRZEa_Q - OokBo...
HELLO! Welcome to Fantastic Books and Where to Find Them! I was lucky enough to get tickets to the Tower of Dawn fan event with Sarah J Maas and Samantha Shannon in London. My phone wasn't happy but I did manage to film the majority of the talk and a few little clips from the Fairy Loot meet afterwards.

Renee started at the London Review of Books around the time that digital was a concern for print publishers. The LRB was able to weather the storm and see a steady rise in subscriptions by expanding into digital marketing channels. Google AdWords enabled them to achieve their marketing goals of getting and retaining subscribers. “In the future I think AdWords will be a huge way for us to get the word out about the LRB, as it helps us to get closer to the people who we know will be interested in our magazine.” Learn more about the London Review of Books and their fortnightly magazine, book and cake shop at http://www.lrb.co.uk
